Free Computer Lessons

Posted in Education

A number of help sessions for computer beginners are being held in Haywards Heath Library next month.

It is part of the service’s new Computer Buddies scheme which looks to support people with little or no knowledge of using PCs.

The free hour-long sessions, starting in mid-January, are being run twice-a-week by experts volunteering in the area.

Library Manager Roger Myall said: “Our Buddies are very friendly and will take people through the basics as well as getting online.

“If you are new to computers and find them baffling or even frightening then our volunteers will be able to support you.

“They will also help users with a little more experience but who may have queries about the internet or using their email.”

The first session will look at simple skills – including using the keyboard and mouse.

Please reserve a place in advance either in person or by phone.
